Bobby Rogers served with Kilo 3/26. On January 31, 1969 he was killed when the platoon walked into a minefield. I was next to Bobby when he stepped on the mine, but there was nothing I could do. He was instantly killed. Two other marines were also killed that day in this field and many others were wounded. Bobby had a wonderful smile and loved to joke around with fellow marines. He was a great person and an outstanding marine. His hometown is Pasadena, Maryland.
